Mojahid Musa (b. 1990) is a Bangladeshi artist specializing in sculpture. He completed his MFA in Sculpture in 2015 and his BFA in 2014, both from the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Chittagong.
Musa has received several prestigious awards and grants at both national and international levels. His accolades include the Best Award for Sculpture at the Sculpture Exhibition by Sculpture Network Presents, Germany (2016, 2017); the Samdani Art Award and exhibition at Dhaka Art Summit (2012, 2023); and the Best Award for Sculpture and Installation at the 22nd and 19th Young Artists Art Exhibition by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (2017, 2014). He also earned the Grand Award at the Annual Art Exhibition, Institute of Fine Arts, Chittagong (2012, 2017), and received a grant for the Home Art Project by Brihatta Art Foundation in 2020.
Musa’s work has been featured in notable group exhibitions, including the 4th, 5th, and 6th National Sculpture Exhibitions (2014, 2021, 2024), Tracing Displacement at Bayt Al Mamzar, Dubai (2023), A Duality curated by Bishwajit Goswami at Dhaka Art Summit (2023), and the Asian Art Biennale (2012, 2014, 2018, 2022). Internationally, he participated in the 29th UBE Biennale in Japan (2021).
His residencies include the CONNECTION Creative Residency Program in Dubai (2023), Kathmandu International Artist Residency in Nepal (2019), Patina on Fiberglass Sculpture workshop in Shantiniketan, India (2018), and a three-month residency at Kohei Nawa’s studio organized by Sandwich Inc., Kyoto, Japan (2015–2016).
Musa’s work reflects a deep engagement with materiality, traditional Bangladeshi motifs, and global contemporary issues, making him a prominent figure in both national and international art scenes.
