Zoya Chaudhary (b. 1982) is an India-born artist based in Singapore since 2011. Her multidisciplinary practice spans installation, video, cut-out collage, and painting, focusing on themes of perception, memory, and time, particularly in a media-saturated world. Starting from the personal, Zoya’s work often expands to examine the interplay between individual experiences and broader public narratives.
Zoya holds an MA in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts in partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London (2021). She has worked extensively as a visual artist and illustrator in India and Singapore. Her formative years were influenced by her active involvement in theatre—performing, watching, and designing for productions—a background that continues to inform her artistic approach.
Her work has been widely exhibited and collected in Singapore and internationally since 2012. Zoya’s recent solo exhibitions include, Remains of the Day, at Blueprint12, New Delhi (2024), and Presenting Pastness, at Outreach, Gillman Barracks, Singapore (2023). Her group shows include, Delhi Contemporary Art Week, Bikaner House, New Delhi (2024); Art Mumbai 2024, Blueprint12 booth; The Art of India by Times of India in Gandhinagar, India (2022); Strangers on an Island (2021); Beautiful, Nice and Interesting, the LASALLE MAFA final showcase at ICA Singapore (2021); Polychromatic Dreamscapes at The Visual Art Centre, Singapore (2021); and TILT at Praxis Gallery, ICA Singapore (2020), among others.
